The voluntary organization has been conducting various activities for the development of the country as well as its education since its inception. In continuation of this, for the purpose of development of education and educational activities were started at the lower secondary level in the city of Sylhet since 2006. it has been implementing many projects for the development of education, including teacher training, starting from secondary to higher secondary. Currently Shimantik is conducting its current educational activities in a very pleasant environment on its vast permanent campus. Shimantik Education family members hope that technical and M.Ed (Professional Masters) courses will be introduced here soon.
Work Area:
Basically Sylhet and its Surrounding, but any student or trainee from anywhere in Bangladesh can avail education from here.
Activities:
In addition to conducting educational activities. in accordance with the National Curriculum, sports, cultural practices, public awareness are created for the development of a developed and efficient nation. and also Encourage the development of Diyalaka, Debate Competition and Moral Education including celebration of National Day including Language Day, Independence Day, Victory Day to increase patriotism.

Students:
A total of 160 students with 110 new admissions in class XI and a total of 318 trainees including 180 new students in B. Ed course.
Teachers & Staff:
There are 17 full time and 4 part-time teachers as well as 4 employees working in this whole team.
Success
As a result of the strong determination and hard work of all responsible people.
Shimantik Institutions are now improving gradually. Some of them are as follows:
- The number of Students increased in every Class Especially in class XI its become doubled than last year.
- A total of 100% of H.S.C and S.S.C candidates passed Last year which was better than the previous year.
- New Admission for Degrees are in the process and Name registration is going on to confirm their admission into Shimantik College.
- TTC is continuing its Success as usual.

To develop a nation there is no alternative without education. As a development organization, Shimantik has taken an initiative to provide quality education to primary & secondary students through Shimantik Ideal School.
Our mission is to support the achievement of the National goal to impart quality education to all the citizens of Bangladesh. In 2010 this school received the first approval from the Ministry of Education & Sylhet Education board. From the beginning, this school earns remarkable results. The school management committee (SMC) always keep close monitoring of teachers & their teaching technique. This school takes a special initiative to provide monthly routine medical check-up for Teachers & Students for better Health & also include Computer Technology for facing future challenges.

Shimantik International School at Kaligonj, Zakigonj
Shimantik International School was established in 2005 in order to fulfil the demand of standard education. Though it started its journey with the students from nursery to Standard Three, now it has been promoted to Standard Ten. In 2021, it has total 315 students from Nursery to Standard Ten. From the establishment of the school, it has achieved a glorious success in many public examinations and competitive scholarship examinations. In the last 2021 number of 52 SSC examination student were getting passed where 7 student got A+ according to government decision. It has been running by a principal with 15 teachers, one office assistant & two support staff.
